In honor of September being Self-Care Awareness Month, I thought it would be a good idea to kick things off this month with some femdom self-care for kinky people. For those new to this observance, Self-Care Awareness Month is a part of a larger global movement to encourage people to see self-care as more than a treat. So many of us move through our days on autopilot, ignoring our body cues, and disregarding the ways the accumulation of daily life stressors can strain us. All things that make us more susceptible to illness and burnout. To that end, we’re going to focus on our well-being with energetic intention this week by building a dopamine menu!

What Is a Dopamine Menu?

A dopamine menu, or ‘Dopamenu’, is a handy visual aid containing mood boosting self-care activities. The activities are divided into ‘courses’ based on either, how much energy they require to complete or how good you feel once the activity is completed. A well-crafted Dopamenu should be easy to store and transport, so that you don’t have to search for it when you need it. They’re main purpose is to create forward motion which can be used to help regulate your nervous system, create good habits while breaking bad ones, reconnect you with your senses, or aid in burnout recovery.

Dopamenu Build: Femdom Self-Care

One of the many tools in a femdom’s arsenal of distance domination is assignment creation for our service-oriented submissives. I’ve personally found that assignments should make service subs feel good during and after their completion. For these reasons, I’d like to get together with The Girl Gang and create a Dopamenu specifically for submissives. I’d love to get the input of service subs who enjoy this kind of thing.
