So you all know how much I love archetypes and personality tests… and yes, you can expect more fun tests in the future from me. But I was playing around with what topic I would be hosting during my next Femdom Friday hosting gig, and I ran across some material relating to submissive personality characteristics that I thought would be fun to explore. But I have to tell you, some of the research I did exposed a negative outlook on what being submissive really is, and I want to talk about it. And what’s more, I would like to correct the record.
Before I present what I found, let me begin by saying I am not trying to nay say the research I found. I just think that the world underappreciates the symbiotic relationship between dominant people and submissive people, and that it negatively frames submissive people as a result of it. Which is actually the point of me doing a show on the benefits of submissive people from the POV of a dominant. I would like to reframe some of the negative assumptions people make about submissive people, men in particular.
Now let’s get to some of the things I found from psychologyfor.com, in their article entitled “Submissive Personality: 10 Psychological Traits That Define it”. Please note that citations were not provided for these claims in this article and its trustworthiness as a source is a little compromised because of that.
The article mentions that submissive people are more likely to have low self esteem, bad early life experiences, that they avoid conflicts, have emotional dependence on other, they are negative and insecure, they don’t achieve their goals, so on and so forth.
They defined the traits of a Submissive personality as high people pleasing tendencies, fear of conflict, difficulty expressing needs, low self esteem, anxious attachment styles, overcompliance in authority relationships, suppressed anger, indecisiveness, hyper empathy and identify diffusion, which is an unclear sense of self.
Not exactly a flattering picture, is it? No wonder they have low self esteem, if this is how yall talk about them, right? Moreover, it doesn’t seem to be the whole picture, especially in light of how submissives benefit dominants. So on Friday July 31st, as we close out the month, I want to close out some of these misconceptions about the submissive personality type by highlighting the benefits of their specific psychology to the Mistresses they serve.
So join us for this discussion about Submissive Personality types and the benefits of our submissive counterparts. I promise you will leave with a better understanding of how your psychology positively impacts the Femdom community.
Benefits of Submissives Panelist Questions
Here are the panel questions I will be asking, time permitting:
What are the benefits to having a submissive partner?
What surprising psychological benefits have you noticed in yourself since embracing a femdom dynamic with submissive people?
What was the moment you first realized the benefits of having a submissive partner?
If you had to describe the perfect submissive in one sentence from a benefit standpoint, what would it be?
What are the little rituals or acts of service from your submissive that give you the biggest boost of joy or calm?
What sexual or sensual benefits do you get from a deeply submissive partner that you didn’t experience before?
In what ways has dominating a submissive partner helped you grow as a woman, leader, or person outside the bedroom?
What do you wish more people understood about the benefits submissives bring to the women who dominate them?
So save the date for July 31st, as the Mistresses of Femdom Fridays will be lifting their cups to the benefits of submissives. Between then and now, I would love for you to be thinking about how your submission impacts the Dominants in your life. Hit me up and let me know your thoughts.

I’m really excited to dig into this topic!
D/s dynamics really changed the way I show up in relationships so I’m really looking forward to hearing how the other Mistresses and subs feel about this topic.
